Weekend Swim Camp at Loch Tay - May
Improve your frontcrawl + meet like-minded people in a beautiful place
Course Description
This weekend swim camp at Loch Tay is an excellent opportunity for swimmers with open water experience as well as for swimmers who are confident in the pool and want to make the transition to open water. This weekend is all about your front crawl technique, no matter if you want to prepare for an event, if you want to improve your stroke or if you are a sea swimmer and want to train your skills in a fresh water environment. I have teamed up with WildFox Events, known for their legendary event in July, the Great Kindrochit Quadtrathlon. We will meet and train at their base: Kindrochit Farm. You can arrive on Friday late afternoon or Saturday morning. When you book you will be asked to fill in a questionnaire that will enable us to split the participants into groups of a maximum of 6 swimmers with similar experience. You will swim twice on Saturday, once in the morning, once in the afternoon. There will be enough time between swims to meet and talk to like-minded people and recover in the beautiful unspoilt wilderness setting on the shore of Loch Tay. There will be a camp with changing tent, heating and chill out area. In between swim sessions, around lunchtime, there will be an optional dryland information session. This session is highly recommended as it will introduce swimmers to exercises to prevent injury and strengthen the muscles needed for a successful open water swim.
